Incubator Kinrot adds 4 companies ahead of sale

07 March 2010

Details are emerging about recent developments at Kinrot Technology Ventures, which B. Gaon Holdings Ltd. (TASE: GAON) unit AquAgro Fund LP acquired from Canada's Stern Group two weeks ago in a share-swap deal. Kinrot has signed a term sheet for a strategic deal with the Milwaukee 7 Water Council and added four new portfolio companies at an initial investment of NIS 8 million.

Two of the start-ups are already up and running. HydroSpin Ltd. is developing an inside pipe generator that supplies electricity for water monitoring and control systems in remote areas and sites without accessibility for electricity. EcoChemtec Ltd. is developing technology to produce chemicals from the brine waste from desalination plants.

SPC Tech Ltd. is developing a smart pressure control system to prevent leaks. Wadis Ltd. is developing an innovative electric-pulse water disinfectant system.
