Management Team

Mr. Assaf Barnea is the CEO of Kinrot Ventures. Previously, Mr. Barnea managed the Business Development activity at Mekorot, Israel’s national water company, where he oversaw the establishment of WaTech - the Entrepreneurship & Partnership Center for Water Technologies, a program which supports new innovative water technologies solutions that are relevant to Mekorot's daily operations. Prior to Mekorot, he served for four years as a Director of Business Development at Comverse Technology, Inc. (NASDAQ: CMVT), a global telecom provider. Mr. Barnea is also a Founder and a BOD member of Cardiosense, a medical device start-up company. He is a certified lawyer, holds both law and business degrees from the Interdisciplinary Center in Herzelia and a political science and psychology degree from Tel-Aviv University. In his previous career, Mr. Barnea played college basketball at Seton Hall University and professional basketball at Israel's top division and was a member of the Israeli national basketball team.

Micha joined Kinrot as their Chief Financial Officer in 2008. Prior to Kinrot, Micha held the position of CFO and Controller at Aquatron Robotic Systems Ltd., an industrial company engaged in the production and marketing of robots for cleaning swimming pools to the international market. Prior to Aquatron, Micha served his internship at Ernst and Young, Certified Public Accountants.  Micha served on the Board of Directors of Kibbutz Lavi and as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the hotel owned by the Kibbutz.
Micha holds a BA/B.Sc . in Business Administration and Accounting from the College of Management Academics Studies Division.

Amit joined Kinrot in 2008 and is responsible for deal flow within Kinrot. This entails finding, screening and selecting new projects for the incubator. In addition, he is responsible for strengthening Kinrot’s strategic contacts and providing business and technological support to the companies already within the operating framework of Kinrot. Amit brings over 10 years of experience in managing and leading technology projects in the IDF (Israel Defense Force).
Amit holds a B.Sc.Agr degree specializing in Soil and Water Science from the Hebrew University.

Oded joined Kinrot in 2008 as an R&D Engineering consultant. Oded lends his expertise to the filtering process within Kinrot and supports existing portfolio companies by providing engineering consultancy services, carrying out engineering works and assisting in sourcing and selecting engineers and sub-contractors.   Prior to joining Kinrot, Oded served as an Engineering Manager & Consultant at various companies including Meytav Incubator, several medical start-up companies and Aran. Before that, Oded held the position of R&D Engineer at Rafael, Israel’s leading designer, developer, manufacturer and supplier of a wide range of advanced defense systems.
Oded holds a B.SC degree in Mechanical Engineering, obtained from the Israel Institute of Technology in Haifa.

Adam has over 35 years of experience gained at Mekorot, Israel’s national water company. In 2005, Adam became an expert consultant in the field of water, providing services to companies and projects both in Israel and abroad. At Kinrot, Adam weighs in with his vast experience, assisting in the process of selecting and filtering projects, providing support, technological consultancy and business direction for the current portfolio, providing them with connections and creating co-operation opportunities.
Adam is a member of the Israel Water Association, Israel Engineers & Architects Association, and the International Association on Water Quality. He is a member of the Managing Team of the International Water Supply Association and a member of the Water Business Initiative Committee at Waterfronts.
Adam holds a B.Sc. degree from the Israel Institute of Technology in Haifa and a Business Management Degree from Bar Ilan University.
