Water loss is one of the main problems for municipalities and can amount to more than 30% of the water consumption. The new system from Aquarius Spectrum will include a wireless low cost sensor network that will provide online monitoring and detection of water leaks.
The main advantage of the system is that it is a cost effective solution for constant on-line monitoring of water delivery system, providing real-time alarms for water leaks or burst pipes. The system is powered by innovative algorithms for leak detection in complex pipeline networks. The system is based on distributed signal processing and ultra low power communication system enabling up to 4 years of maintenance free operation. The novel system will provide the ultimate accuracy and reliability in water leak detection and on-line monitoring of municipal water supply.
